Winners of the Voice Ai Challenge Uzbekistan hackathon!

From December 24 to 26 this year, the INHA University in Tashkent hosted the “Voice Ai Challenge Uzbekistan” hackathon, organized by the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park, UNDP in Uzbekistan, with the support of the INHA University in Tashkent, the Research Institute development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as KASH APP and TTS.UZ.

At the opening of the event, Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, Muzafar Mukhitdinovich Jalalov, Rector of the INHA University, and Radjabov Jahangir Ikhtiyarovich, IT Park Deputy Director for Innovative Development, delivered a speech.

Next, representatives of IT Park and UNDP awarded the winners of the Mozilla Common Voice contest, which was held in two directions "Speakers" and "Listeners".

Mozilla Common Voice is a project to collect Uzbek voice data and create an open database. The goal of the project is to make voice recognition technology accessible to everyone.

The winners of the competition in the direction of "Speakers" are:

- Shohsanam Juraeva - Tashkent;

- Akbarbek Sadullaev - Tashkent city;

- Ulugbek Ochilboev - Samarkand region;

- Sanzharbek Sultonov - Syrdarya region;

The winners of the competition in the direction of "Listeners" are:

- Faizullo Nematillaev - Fergana region;

- Bekhruz Samajanov - Tashkent;

- Shakhrillo Nusratov - Bukhara region;

- Asadbek Muhammadjonov - Tashkent region;

- Asadbek Rustamov - Khorezm region;

The main speakers of the hackathon were the head of the accelerator of the UNDP laboratory in Uzbekistan Adkham Kuchkarov, the director of the Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Aziz Atabekov, as well as the project manager of KASH APP and the community manager of Uzbekvoice.ai Abbosjon Kudratov.

The main members of the jury were the chief specialist of the UZINFOCOM artificial intelligence department Rustamkhuja Alavutdinov, the founder and head of the Kash App company Bakhtiyor Khasanov, the technical head of the ModMe.uz educational online platform Ruslan Yuldashev and the general director of TTS Uzbekistan Erkin Isoev, as well as the head of the technology development department of artificial intelligence at the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Parviz Nasrullaev.

During the event, various sessions were held, voice data in Uzbek was provided and comprehensive assistance was provided by the mentors of the event to the participants of the hackathon. More than 300 participants registered in the hackathon, which formed 39 teams, and 28 teams reached the final.

Hackathon winners:

1st place: the Sigma team with the Xabarchi project - news aggregator in Uzbek.

- Muhammadsaid Mamasaid;

- Maftuna Ziyamova;

- Yasmina Ablaeva.

2nd place: Milliy.ai team with the STT API bot project - translation of speech into text in Uzbek.

- Kamronbek Rustamov;

- Bilol Sanatillaev;

- Farruk Koraev.

3rd place: "Digital Twins" team with the "Digital Twins" project - a digital museum with famous personalities

- Andrey Usmanov;

- Khasan Yadgarov;

- Khusan Yadgarov;

The winners of the competition were awarded valuable prizes in the form of laptops, tablets, phones and certificates from the organizers of the event. And also all participants of the competition were awarded with certificates and gifts in the form of T-shirts from the organizers of the event.

The award ceremony was attended by First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Pekos Oleg Andreevich, Rector of the INHA University Jalalov Muzafar Mukhitdinovich and IT Park Deputy Director for Regional Development Abdulahad Kuchkarov Maratovich.

We remind you that this hackathon was dedicated to the development of digital solutions using voice data in the Uzbek language and artificial intelligence.
